As an avid bread baker, this is my top pick for replacing my own loaves better!

amazing bread maker!!!
I am an avid bread maker. this is my third machine. I hated to spend the money -- seems absurd to pay that much -- but it is amazing! No comparison with typical machines. (my last was a cuisinart. was ok, but not like this -- and didn't last long. six months of frequent use and it failed to properly mix. ) this one is easy to use. no need to get the temperature of the ingredients just right. the machines "preheats" to do that for you and get it just perfect. the bread quality is superior. I am absolutely in awe. I bought a bread machine recipe book to go with it and am finding it fun to experiment. I need not worry if it will be a flop! It bakes a beautiful loaf everytime. Excellent Tasting Bread, Easy Right Out of the Box
We had the Cuisinart CBK-100 bread machine, which died after 2 years. The first loaf of bread we made was Honey White and it was out of this world. Tastes as good as fresh baked bread from a restaurant. Amazing DVD video and thorough instructions. Gives tips that are reinforced by reviewing both. Was suppose to save it for xmas for my wife, but the kids and I couldn't resist an early present to enjoy holiday fresh baked breads and scents every day. Thought about other Zojirushi models like the Supreme, but really liked the selling points on the added lid heater. Glad I upgraded as the crust was perfect!!! Fun to bake with children and they love the fruits of their labor. Look forward to trying all the recipes and then begin experimenting. Hands down, would never second guess this choice. Definitely professional quality after the first loaf. No need to warm up water, melt butter, etc so very USER FRIENDLY!!!

Simply the best!
After reading so many of the reviews for the model just below this (same brand and style), I decided to check into this one. I am so glad I did!!! All the complaints about the loaf being irregular sized or lighter colored crust on one side is totally not an issue with this one. They must have taken the complaints into consideration when they made this. This is virtually the same one with an added lid heater for evenness. I have made seven loaves so far and they are all fabulous. All the ones I make out of the manual come out perfect. The ones I make from my other recipe books taste fabulous but they are for a one pound bread machine. Keep in mind this is for two pounds. So a one pound loaf will come out a little ill shaped, but it does not effect the flavor or texture at all. If you stick to the manual they are ALL beautiful shaped, colored, texured, and taste amazing. Not to mention the smell, WOW! Worth Every Penny!
Our trusty, 18-year-old Zo was still going strong when the non-stick coating began to peel. When no replacement parts could be found, we faced the inevitable and began to look for a worthy successor. After much research, other brands seemed to have serious issues we hadn't had with our old workhorse, despite its age (it was a hard act to follow!). Plunking down mega-bucks for the Virtuoso took much soul-searching, especially after so many negative reviews of its predecessor, but we checked Amazon's price daily and took the plunge when it went on sale, since it could be returned if it was a dud. Perfect for Singles, Apartment Dwellers, and Couples....
The Zojirushi BB-HAC10 breadmaker is terrific for couples, singles, or apartment dwellers wanting a small loaf of bread (1 LB). While at first, its price may be offsetting, it is a fantastic device and made of high quality materials. Most breadmakers are too large and end up being stored in the closet, but this machine is small, sleek, and bakes perfect loaves of bread. It is the same width as my toaster and is small enough to keep out on an apartment kitchen counter. The loaves on regular cycles take between 3:40-3:00 to bake, but it has a timer and a "keep warm" feature. It is quiet and an 8-year old could easily operate its simple push button controls.It has an even-heating element, and a good quality, heavy, non-stick baking pan, which is a snap to clean up. If you are like me, you will do a huge amount of research on the web before you make a purchase like this. Usually I get it down to a few brands, then one item, then I find the best price.Years ago I purchased one of the earliest commercial bread makers available to consumers. It was a thrill to have such a thing, as I love fresh bread, but I am also a well-known yeast killer. Needless to say, the technology was new... it worked for about a year, and only when making one recipe - Basic White Bread. I decided not to get it fixed (the price tag for repairs was over 100 bucks), and just wrote the whole idea off.Last fall - after about ten years had passed! - I decided to try again, only this time I had the internet on my side. Comparison with Zojirushi BBCCX20
I already owned the Zojurushi BBCCX20 (the 2-Pound-Loaf Bread Machine) for 2 years before deciding on buying the smaller model to adjust to changing needs. Unfortunately, I expected the same kind of "programmable" machine. The only thing programmable on the Zojirushi BB-HAC10 is the delay timer. Do not buy this machine expecting to control the time of rise, kneed and bake. Maybe I'm the only person who did use this feature on the other model, but it was truly useful for making spelt bread. The only way to make a nice spelt bread using this machine is the "Quick Baking Setting" and it cannot be combined with the timer. So impossible for me to make a spelt bread for breakfast.Things I do like :-The size of the machine is perfect, I store it in the cupboard.-The beep sound (for adding raisins, nuts, etc.) is not to long or annoying like the BBCCX20 which would wake me up in the middle of the night.-Easier to clean than BBCCX20. More than a bread maker
This thing is truly a machine, not just a bread maker. I am making gluten free breads in this machine and it has customizable settings that allow me to cook this type of bread easily. You can make breads, meat loafs, cakes and more in this well made piece of equipment and I am impressed with the craftsmanship of this product. If you are going to make an investment in a good quality, beautiful piece of equipment for your kitchen, this is the way to go.On a side note, the accessories that come with are not really the best quality. The oven mit is nice but the cups and spoons are not a good metal. They are not Zojirushi's product just for the record so I would suggest just buying the machine.

Excellent bread maker
The breadmaker is awesome. Only imperfection is with smaller loaves, if you don't watch the end of the last kneading cycle, the dough may not be centered and you end up with a lopsided loaf. Minor as the bread still comes out tasting fine. We have stopped buying sandwich bread at the store. We bought a good breadmaker cookbook (Hensperger) and would recommend that as a must have because the breadmaker instructions only include a handful of recipies (the Italian Herb recipie in the cookbook is one of our favorites - we leave out the herbs for a basic Italian white bread).

Wonderful Machine - reputation is well deserved.
I finally purchased this machine after trying two other models; the Breadman TR555 and 2200C. My parents have had thier Zojirushi S-15 for almost 10 years with no problems and flawless bread. Desiring to enter the bread machine market with limited funds, I decided to try the Breadman TR555. It consistently burned the bread and revealed a "tougher" center. The 2200C was the biggest disappointment of all. Seeing all of the reviews for this machine as comparable to the ZO X20, I found myself with the ONLY two loaves of bread that were simply "duds" (did not rise properly and crust settings were useless) I had ever had out of a machine. Finally, I decided that Zojirushis could simply NOT be topped. I was right. This bread machine has worked wonderfully and reminds me of my parents machine from the early 90's. Solid performer, but with limited flexibility
This is my third bread machine. My first was the original Zojirushi, and the second was a Breadman. I still use both the Breadman and the Zojirushi BBCCX20. According to most baking sites I've seen, the Zo and the Breadman are the leading contenders in this category today, so here's my comparison:- The Zo is more solidly built and has a stronger motor. It can handle stiffer doughs that literally stopped the motor on my Breadman.- The Zo is much quieter than the Breadman. The pan in the Breadman clanks around in its clips and makes quite a racket during kneading.- Unfortunately, the Zo has an annoying 15-second beep to signal the right time to add nuts or fruits. As far as I can tell, there is no way to turn off this feature. For me, this is a big deal, because I used to love to set up my bread machine to make bread during the night, giving me a wonderful hot loaf of bread for breakfast. Converted from Breadman
After much agonizing, we (I) chose the Zo' breadmaker. We had the Breadman for five years until it gave out a month ago. Before that I hand made bread for ten years. I bought the Breadman as present for my wife (she called it a "football present") after I just became tired of making bread. The cathartic effects of kneading bread are way overblown, in my opinion. We came to rely on the bread machine, baking at least once a week. After the Breadman died a slightly early death, we originally were going to replace it with another Breadman. But, after consideration of how much bread we make, and more important, the kind of bread we make, we decided to look at other machines.See, we bake mostly whole wheat breads and such breads are hard on a machine. Best bread machine I've ever used
I've been baking my own bread for over 15 years now in bread machines. I've averaged baking between 1 and 2 loaves a week during this time, so I feel I'm a pretty good judge of bread machines. The first two bread machines I used were not Zojirushi, but another leading maker of bread machines. I was fairly happy with them, but from time to time, depending on the time of the year (mainly mid summer) it was hard to get loaves to come out right, mainly due to getting the temperature of the water correct depending on the surrounding temp. Also, the size of the loaves were not the most desirable.I've owned the Zojirushi for two months now, and I love it. It's much better than my previous bread machines in many ways, and overcomes the issues I described above with my previous machines. The loaves are much larger, so I don't have to bake bread as often, since they last longer. And the loaf dimensions are much better. I can now slice a piece of bread and it's much more like...

Best bread machine that I've tried.
Just bought one of these from this Amazon vendor. It came very carefully packed. Only made 3 loaves of bread so far - and each has been perfect. My last one is a Pepperoni, Jalapeno and Cheese bread that makes the best toast of any that I've ever had - and I'm so old and fat that that's a lot of toast.My last machine was a Panasonic which made pretty good "vertical" loaves - until last summer, when it started "punching down" the loaves halfway through the Bake cycle. Gave it to my sister, who can make most anything work - given time. Anyway, I have a Zojirushi rice cooker which is a thing of beauty, so I knew this would not disappoint.The oven mitt was too small (Hey Sis!) but the stainless measuring spoons and cups are quite nice. What else can I tell ya?

The best bread machine out there
Long story short, I owned the older version of this bread machine. While on the low carb diet with my husband a few years ago, he mistakenly donated it to goodwill. I replaced it with a Cuisinart bread machine. Good bread machine but no comparison to the Zo. Two months ago I bought this Zojiurshi and oh my, what a difference. The dual paddles make a huge difference in your finished product. It's just a fine quality bread machine. In comparing the the older version I owned previouisly to this new Zo I just bought. The old one was quieter and seemed to run more smoothly. A new feature with this newer model is I can lift the lid and add more flour if my dough is too wet and the paddles keep moving. The old version would stop completely when the lid was up. With the paddles moving you won't go over in adding too much flour because you can see the texture. Overall, yes it costs more. Is it worth it. Absolutely.
